Plastic fin is 1/4" wide and felt looks to be 3/16" thick. Groove for plastic fin has 3/16" gap between flanges. Since it is built into the frame how can we install the plastic fin?

Thanks for posting! The seal you are describing is a wool pile weatherstrip with a fin seal. Based on your measurements, I believe you'll need the 58-021 Gray Pile Weatherseal.

Double check the dimensions to confirm that this is what you need.
