Question

My single hung dble Payne windows are hard to put up. In checking the windows, I see my balances are under preassure and working as they shoot up when u try to raise the window. I have deduced my issue is the windo guides that seem to not catch the balance and keep them where the should stay when raising and lowering the window.

The sash guide you have is no longer made. We offer the 18-171 that can be used in its place. You would just need to trim the bottom to size. Take a good look and see if this can be used to fix your window.
