Window handle stopped working

Home Owner from Illinois
Hello, my parents have this window that it stopped working. The handle makes that the window opens facing up, so the arms are in the sides of window, on left and right. The house is more than 50yrs old. There is no number around the handle. Do you think u can help? It wont open at all now.

We can definitely help, but I can't recommend anything based on these photos. All I can see is the base of the operator, which is what I presume is the part that's malfunctioning. That's just a guess, though.

In order to be of further help, I'll need you to determine exactly what the problem is. At this point it could be a million different things; a bum operator is just the top contender. Assuming I'm right and it is the operator, then we'll need you to remove it from the window and show us a picture of the whole mechanism by itself. That way we can see it without obstruction and can match it up to a replacement in our catalog.

Thank you!

Perfect, thank you! I know we have this part, as a matter of fact. Look at our 39-083 to start out. I feel confident this is what you have, but make sure to check the "elbow to elbow" measurement first. When closed, the "elbows" of your operator arm should be 21-1/2" apart. If it's different, let me know and I can try to find something closer.

Yes, you were right 21-1/2. Now, would you happened to have the whole window, or know who has it. The window measures 39- 1/8 x 19?

We don't sell windows, unfortunately. I'm also not sure what yours is or who may have it. This operator is used by tons of different manufacturers. You could have anything.
