The crank mechanism on this window is functional, but once the window is opened to the halfway point, the arm connector drops out of the track and has to be manually reinserted to close the window.

Thanks for posting! The worm gear in the operator is completely stripped. That said, you'll need to replace the entire mechanism.

Your operator resembles our 39-031 EntryGard Dual-Arm Operator (the opposite handed version is part 39-032). These operators are compatible with the 39-107 cover along with the 39-114L non-folding handle (like the one you have) or the folding crank handle, part 39-205. Another replacement option is the 39-107FK , which is a folding crank and cover kit. Compare the dimensions from your existing operator to those shown on the diagram below.
