Question

Old windows are not holding up. Sash balance has broken. Trying to identify the parts needed to fix it.  what kind of shoe and other hardware is needed?

Hello,

Your balance reminds me of the S770 at first glance, but you'll need to check an undamaged balance to confirm the terminal clip at the end of the pulley matches yours. If so, you'll need to measure the balance channel and locate the stamp code on your balance to choose the corresponding strength option for your replacements.

If you need new pivot shoes as well, we would need to see yours removed from the window, as well as have you write out the exact width and thickness to compare to our selection. Thank you!
