Window hinge/operator for Allwood Casement window

Question

I am looking to replace the metal part that pivots the casement window and holds it in the frame. Window was made by Allwood Doors (out of business now). It has no handle or crank. It is basically a 16 inch x 1 3/8 inch flat metal plate that is screwed onto the frame, with a pin at the end that is what the window pivots on, and then a plate that is screwed onto the window, and a 9 inch arm that pivots out as you open the window by hand. The same piece is found at the top of the window.

Thanks for reaching out! The metal part on the casement window that helps to pivot the sash open and closed is the window hinge. To replace your existing hinges, I believe you can use the 36-048, although, it may not be an exact replacement match.

Take a look over the dimensions and compare them to your existing hinge, see if it might be a fit. This hinge set can be used for the left and right side of the sash and you'll need to replace both the top and bottom hinge.

Keep in mind, you'll likely need to drill new holes to install this hinge.
