This looks like a lock for a casement or awning window, but I'm not sure of its design. Based on this photo alone it's not one that I recognize.
Before we go any further, can you show me a clear photo of this lock in undamaged condition and removed from the window frame? I have a feeling that some important details are missing and I want to make sure we can account for everything.
