Good Afternoon,

We are looking for 6 of the below pictured window latches. Any help is appreciated. They are from the Borough Hall Building which was built in the 1960's
Any help is appreciated

It look like the 38-078 but the holes on the one we have are about 2 1/16" on center. Any chance this one would work? It looks like the holes are slotted. Also any chance in comes in gray or bare metal?
Thanks

I agree that the 38-078 is a very close match. The bad news is that we unfortunately don't have a version of this lock with only a 2-1/16" hole spacing. Based on the age of the original, it likely hasn't been made in a long, long time. Our part may very well be your best bet.

I can't guarantee that it would work, but you would need to drill new holes for it to install. Even then there is no guarantee. Some further adaptation may be required depending on circumstance. You should expect to have to improvise.

The 38-078 is also not available in alternate finishes. That said we do sell the 38-001. This is made in mill and has a similar design, but the hook on the back has a 5/16" projection, compared to the 1/2" projection on the 38-078. Look it over and see what you think.
