Window latches

Home Owner from Portland oregon

I am looking for window locks and haven't been able to find the exact pieces. I would like to send pics of latch style to see if you carry them.

Thanks and I need to know how to submit the photos of current locks.

Hi there, Gail.

Can you write out the distance between the two installation holes, measured from center to center? We would also like to know the hole center spacing for the keeper as well. We may not be able to help with the keeper but that information will help us confirm.

Is the keeper the flat piece that latch piece locks into?

Here are pics showing measurements. The pictures of the keeper are above.

However those are already attached to window pane.

Thanks

Gail

Thanks for getting back to us, Gail. Unfortunately it's very difficult to determine precise hole spacing based on just a photo of a tape measure. It's for this reason that we always try to ask for written measurements; that way there's no room for error and we know exactly what size we need to find for you.

That said, looking at your photo sit appears that the distance between the two installation holes, center-to-center, is less than 2". We don't sell any lock in this style that fits that size. I would highly recommend that you triple check that measurement just to be safe.

Please also note that we need the hole backset. This is the distance between the center of the holes to the glass-facing edge of the lock and is equally as important.

In the meantime, we have two products that you may want to consider: our 90-274 and 90-278. These match the design of your original part, in my estimation, but at the end of the day you need to take those measurements and verify the better option. Taking precise measurements is essential. You will need to do that before you buy anything.

Okay for the lock portion with handle the holes are 2 2/16" apart.

The keeper attached to window where the lock slides in is different then the ones you sent pics of. Please look at pictures I sent and you will see the look of the keeper.

So the example

You sent me will not work #1 because it has a different keeper. We can not change or remove the keeper only the lock portion piece.

Thanks so much for all

Your help. I hope you will have the lock and keeper part or suggest where I could find it.

Sincerely

Gail Roberts

As long as your old keeper is in good condition you can continue to reuse it. Reviewing your photos I don't see any obvious signs of damage, so as long as they're in good working order they'll be fully compatible with the two suggested locks.
