Your Gapco sash lock reminds me of our 90-005 at first glance. You'll need to compare the dimensions below to see if they match up to your part. Thanks for posting.

Will a new latch make the window close tighter?.
There is a little play in the bottom window when closed.
Windows are approximately 30 yrs old.

A new lock should correct the problem if the original lock being damaged is the only issue. If the sash is out of square due to the house settling or another part being damaged, the problem could persist. I'd recommend checking the window for any other wear and tear.
