Window lock

A quick learner from Iowa says:
Hi in trying to open this older window, it sounded like part of the lock sheared off. It looks like there are 2-3 screws to remove on metal case of lock mechanism to get inside. Please let me know if you need more photos!

This looks like a very old Andersen type of casement window lock. I would remove the screws in the lock body to remove your existing hardware. Also check to see if the windows are painted shut. That may be why you're having trouble operating your windows. As for a lock replacement, we carry the 38-056 and 38-057 which are used on more modern Andersen windows. You will have to see if you can adapt them to your older windows.
