Have you reviewed the product that Bob recommended above? That appears to be a match to me, same as it was for the original poster of this thread. Look it over and let me know if you had any questions.

This window sash lock looks just like the ones we have in our double hung windows. The sash lock works fine but the keeper of the lock is built in the upper sash. The problem is they no longer line up to match. The lock is higher than the keeper.So the windows no longer lock. Any suggestions

It sounds like your top sash is out of alignment. You may want to check to make sure it hasn't fallen down a little. If the balances aren't in good condition the top sash may have been slowly drooping down over the years.
