Window lock and handle replacement

Quick Learner from Pinehurst north carolina

Good Friday morning. Looking to replace/ update old hardware.

Old craftline windows. 1994 vintage. Truth vertical locks/Number 45098. T crank handles/Only number is 5. ?- Measures 3/8 diameter opening.

Now the horizontal opening devices seem to be connected and not just a cover.  Can you help identify. I would like all white replacements. Thanks so much

Hello! We can help with all of these parts. Starting with the lock, I recommend our 38-075. Note that you may need to also update the keepers to our 38-089 to ensure that this newer lock will latch properly. Basically, if the current keepers aren't the 38-089 right now, then they need to be updated.

As for the operator, there are three possibilities depending on size: 39-083, 39-140, or 39-143. These sized based on the "elbow to elbow" measurement when fully closed. Regardless of what size you go with, you can use the 39-102 T handle on each one (sold separately). Or, you can just reuse the T handles you have now.

Tom. Thanks for all the good info here. Looks like my keepers are 31344. Will those work. Also. Do you carry white headed screws for these parts. Thanks. Dave

I agree, that keeper appears to match our 38-089. There should be no need to update your keepers.

We do not carry white screws for these parts, unfortunately. However you can take your old screws to a local hardware store and have them match up the size in white.
