Window opener

Quick Learner from Long beach

House was upgraded in nineteen seventy five. Approximately. Window open smoothly has a clip at the back of the arm on the way out. We'll send a picture of that too

It was very hard to open. And then in closing it, it cracked the case

Need it left and right in white

Thanks for reaching out to us. Sounds like the gears are stripped out; the case likely cracked because the worm gear was backing out as you were turning it. This means your entire operator has to be replaced. I suggest looking at our 39-146. We also sell the 39-147 for the opposite side.

I can back the gear out or screw it back in. the gear lashiing seem to be tight. Should it use the cover as a retainer?

Need white too

The cover is not the retainer, it's just a cover. The retainer is a metal washer that's machine-pressed at the factory. Once that falls out, there's no repairing it; a new operator is necessary in your case.

I still believe that our 39-146 is our best option at this stage. If you have any doubts, let me know and we can try to work out a solution.
