Window opener seems to be stripped

It will open the window but when you reverse it, it will not close the window but turns easily.

Hello there. Yes, when the operator is stripped it means the entire mechanism ought to be replaced. I am confident we can help, but we need to see the entire thing, including the arm(s) that push the window. A bird's eye view, either with the operator removed from the window or at least with the window open, would be best. We'll do our best to help from there.

Hey Pam. See the 39-031 and 39-032 Dual-Arm Operators. Just make sure the dimensions match. For the cover and handle see the 39-114L and 39-107.
