Window operator replacement

Quick Learner from Kalama Washington
Can't find any company near me that will fix my window so I'm hoping to get the right part and repair myself.
Thanks Patty

Hello,

It looks like your window uses one of our Encore operators. Take a look at the video below, which shows the two styles to help you choose the correct replacement. The key difference is the fitting at the end of the long arm that connects to the sash. Thank you!

I have the one with the square track slider so 253RB

I want to find out if both of the arms snap on the posts

in some videos I've watched there is a c-clip?

Also do I need to order the square track slider too?

My operator says Truth on it

Thanks Patty

The 39-529 slider, which is sold separately, attaches to the end of the 39-253RB long arm and rides in a track like the 39-528 on the bottom of the sash. The shorter link arm attaches to a fixed stud bracket that is also attached to the bottom of the sash. See our 39-545 and 39-546

I still need to know if they snap on and off
Do I need to buy the track slider if mine is working fine?
Also what about the snap stud bracket do I have to remove the old one in order to install my new operator?
I don't find a video that shows replacing an operator that is like mine? Do you have one?

Then 39-529 does snap onto the peg at the end of the long arm of the 39-253RB. You should be able to reuse it if yours is still in good condition but they are on the inexpensive side if you wanted to play it say and order the track slide as well. You can also reuse your stud bracket if it's in good condition. We just wanted to point out all of the parts used with this assembly since they are not visible in your photos.

Unfortunately, we do not have a replacement video for this particular operator but you would generally remove the screws from the backplate, slide the 39-529 out of the end of the track and pop the link arm up from the stud bracket. Then, you would reverse the process to install the new operator.
