Thanks for posting. We can help replace these coil balances, but I'd like to see the pivot shoe that they connect to out of the window. The identity of the pivot shoe determines the identity of the coil balances you need. I'd also like a clear view of the pivot bar out of the window as well. From there I'll do my best to quickly ID what you need.

See our 15-192 Pivot Shoe. This shoe uses the Series 170 and Series 171 Coil Balances; see the video below; however, you have the Simonton version of this shoe, which is a little different; namely, the metal cam is a slightly different shape. It would be best to reuse your old metal cams in the new shoes so they work with the pivot bar--our 26-336. The other option would be to grind down the "collar" on the 26-336 tip. See what you think.

My broken spring has a code 405J on it. So I'm not sure if that's your series 170 or 171. Looks to me like mine probably is a short tongue. I probably can use my existing cam and shoe. And as far as the pivot bar the part number you suggest matches exactly. So I think I need two springs and six pivot bars

If there's only one coil spring on each side, then you need the Series 170, and therefore based on that stamp, the S170-405 5 pound spring. All orders can be placed right through the online shop. Let me know if you have any further questions.
