Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! Your casement operator's worm gear has become stripped from the base. This is not something that can be repaired, so you'll need to replace the entire mechanism.

I'll need to see a photo of the operator arm(s) as well as how it attaches to bottom of the swinging window sash to identify it.

To identify the lock, I'll need to see a photo of it removed from the window. I'll need to see how the lock latches to the window to make the most accurate recommendation. Unfortunately, the photo of the handle does not provide enough information.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have.

The operator is likely connected to the bottom of the sash using a bracket of some sort. Once you've detached the arms from the sash, then you'll be able to remove the screws from the base and pull the arms through the opening. Since your operator is stripped, you'll need to manually rotate the arms in so that you'll be able get the arms to clear the opening.

Your operator can be replaced with either the 21-1/2" 39-083 or 16" 39-140 Dual Arm Crank. To determine which of these is the correct replacement, you'll need to confirm the wingspan measurement of the arms of your operator (see the diagram below for reference).

I've tagged the compatible hardware and accessories below for your review as well.
