I have a single hung window with the black plastic lock. Need replacements. Thank you.

Did we need to take the window out to replace this lock? It can you just snap it in place?

You need to remove your sash, then slide the 90-293 latch into the groove under the sash handle, spring and all. Let me know if this helps, or if you have further questions.
