Window balance cord repair

My channel balance is in good shape but the cord snapped. Where do I find replacement cord and how do I know how long it should be?

You won't be able to find a company who sells replacement balance cords. It is not recommended that you try to repair it yourself, since these parts are under a lot of tension. It requires special machinery to properly calibrate a balance and it will be easier--and more cost effective--to simply buy a new balance assembly entirely.
