Hello, the rope broke on both sides of the bottom window in a double hung window. After looking into it, it looks like I need to replace the two window sash balances. How do I know the correct part?
After looking at it closely, it looks like the number 11600-17 is printed on both the left and right balances. But it's not easy to read.

We can definitely help with these balances, but that stamp you gave us isn't used to identify a match. There should be other stamps printed on the box that will be more relevant. If possible, please take a clear picture of every marking you see. That should help us narrow down the list of possible replcaements.
Thanks! That's the one I needed. The code right there reads "5#23," which tells me you can use our 24-531 Andersen sash balance as a replacement.
