Window sash locks

A quick learner from Pembroke Pines, Florida says:
I'm interested in getting window sash locks for my Lawson windows 18-192, SH 7500 aluminum single hung windows. They did not come with any locks. Can locks be installed into aluminum window frames without breaking the glass? I came across your window sash lock part 90-005 and your #8 x 3/8" so pan head Philip's screws part #33-072 and was wondering if I could use these with a small metal drill bit as a pilot hole for the screws. Please let me know.

Hello,

Normally the Lawson 7500 Series window comes with a bottom sash latch that locks to the bottom window frame. If you have space where the top and bottom sash meets, where the tongue of #90-005 lock would latch, then you could use the 90-005

As for the screw choice, 33-072 might be too short. You might need the 33-090 that is 3/4" long instead. Regarding the top sash guide, please look over our 18-201. I believe this is the correct replacement for your sash.
