3/8 from the start of the lock to the hole. The width of the lock is 1"

Thanks for reaching out to us. Take a look at the 90-180 sash lock, which measures 2-1/4" on the installation hole centers with a 3/8" backset. The 90-183 is the compatible keeper. Review the specifications and see what you think.
For new screws, we recommend taking the old ones to a local hardware store for them to match up.
