Window sash sizing

A quick learner from Palmdale ca says:
I have several windows with broken sash parts. When looking at the windows Channel balance look too long. The balance top part appears to be 19-002. The bottom 15-001. The rail is marked 2140 and is 22" long. The window is 22-3/4 high so I think the channel balance is too long. The window weight is 14.6 lbs. The top sashguide was 18-008 but was cut to fit. If I want to replace the channel balance with the correct one what length do I need for a 22-3/4 inch high window?

Thanks for posting. You mention that your balances are too long. Did you ever find that your windows never worked right in the past? If they worked fine, I see no reason to change anything. However if you always had problems, let me know the height of the visible glass and the weight of the sash.
