Window shoes and feet

Quick Learner from Massachusetts
The windows are very hard to open. I found many of the feet of the windows are broken and the shoes are broken so the springs are not attached. I can't find the make of the windows on them, please help.

Thanks for posting. We can help you replace all these parts, but we'll need a little more information to be able to help. You'll need to remove your pivot shoe and the spiral balance from the window for us to see. Show us pictures of the pivot shoe, and please provide the width and thickness of the shoe. As far as your pivot bar goes, is there an undamaged version you can show us removed from the window sash? If so, that as well as the distance between the center of the mounting hole(s) and the tip that fits into the pivot shoe would be most useful.

It sounds like you might need to replace your spiral balances as well. If so, we need the length and diameter of the outer tube, not including the tip. A picture of the tip would also be helpful.
