Window will not completly close.

Handy Person from Tacoma, Washington
I have a window that will not complete crank to close position (photo 2). Photo 1 is taken from inside room looking down on mechanism. Photo 3 is taken from outside house looking at mechanism. Gear looks warn at arm. I am wondering if this is the problem. Photo 4 is looking at the window fully opened. The window measures 25.2 inches wide from foam sealing strip to foam strip. Window color is beige.

Hope I have given you enough information for you too provide me what parts I need to fix the problem.

Thank you,
Don

Hello,

The window not closing all the way would normally indicate that there is a problem with either the operator or the hinges. If the gears of the operator are damaged, it would be a good bet that the operator would need to be replaced. Take a look at the video below to help you choose the correct replacements.

If you need new hinges as well, take a look at the 36-048 set with a 10" base. Thank you!
