Hello! What you have here is a coil balance assembly. Yours in particular uses our 15-087 pivot carrier and Series 180 spring. In all likelihood, you only need to replace the spring by itself, but you should look the assembly over carefully for any obvious signs of damage to the other components just in case.

A quick learner from Hartford, CT says:
Thank you Tom.

Do you think I should buy 2 & install them both?

Can I do that w/ you?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

We always recommend replacing all the springs for a sash at the same time. However, that doesn't necessarily mean you need to replace the pivot carrier on both sides, too; as long as those are in good condition then they can be reused.

I cannot place an order for you here, but you may do so directly from our site at your convenience. You can also give our customer service reps a call at (888) 991-1929.
