Window won't stay open

Question

I have a standard Newpro double-hung window with spiral balances that was blown in by a high wind. Frame and glass are fine, but a part of the balance array cracked. One of the photos shows the broken piece. The other shows the piece still in tact on the opposite side.

Thank you for reaching out to us. It looks like you need a new pivot shoe. I recommend having a look at the 15-188 and 15-178. You'll want to remove the old one and compare the specifications to determine the best match.
