Window won't stay up

20.5 x 39-inch (inside measurements) double hung window won't stay up. Metal cylinder inside appears to be 20 inches from plastic at top to red thing at the bottom of the cylinder. See sideways photos

To get you the correct spiral balance replacement, you'll need to first measure the diameter of the metal tube. Is it 3/8" or 5/8"?
To determine the length, you will need to measure JUST the metal tubes length. Do not include the spiral or colored tip in this measurement. How to measure this is depicted in the photo below.
Lastly, is this balance for a tilt or a non-tilt window? Please get back to us with the above info and we'll be able to determine the replacement you need.
