Window won't stay up

Question

Hello. We have one window that won't stay up. You guys came recommended. Can you tell me what we need to fix this?

Hi Amy. It appears you need new spiral balances. You'll need to remove your old ones and tell us the length and diameter of the outer tube. Originally this balance probably had some sort of plastic tube around that inner coil that's broken away; see if any is intact for optimal measurement of the diameter. For the pivot shoe, please remove and tell us its width and thickness. See the videos I have listed on this page.
