Window won't stay up & doesn't operate.

The other windows in house are Jordan, circa late 70's-80's, brown single hung. Screen & no storm window behind. I believe the top sash piece broke, then the guts came out. (Big spring & plastic pieces with cord)other side intact & can see from top.

It looks like you need a new window balance. However, I'm afraid it is too damaged to identify. We would need to see an undamaged balance assembly, along with the end fittings intact, removed from the window in order to help. Let me know if that's something you can get for us!
