Thanks for posting! The issue with you window is likely due to the spiral balances in the window needing to be replaced. The balances are what support the weight of the sash. So since yours are falling, it is likely because they are damaged and can no longer support the weight.

Your balances appear to be either our 5/8" diameter Series 600 Spiral Balances or our 3/8" Series 900 Spiral Balances. To determine which of these is the correct replacement, you'll need to confirm a few details about your balance.
