Windows Pivots

Home Owner from Hampton, Virginia
Looking to match which part i need. I watched a video and a guy was able to turn the gray part or lock and twist the actual part out. Didn't see how to Get this one outto actually measure it. The reason i was trying to replace them is because my window won't stay up.  This happened when i had a contractor remodel my bathroom. Of course he said he didnt damage the window. My particular item has a small thin piece of metal going across the top.

Thanks for your post! This pivot shoe seems to be a match for the 15-191 Heavy Duty Pivot Shoe. To determine if this is the correct replacement, carefully look over the specifications and compare them.

The most commonly used pivot bar is the 26-241 Pivot Bar.

This is most often used with the 1/2" wide Series 160 Coil Balance but confirm the width of your coils to be sure this is the series you need.

Once you've confirm this to be the correct series, you'll need to look for a stamp/marking on the existing coils. If there are none, please see the tutorial (tagged below) for instructions on how to select to select the correct coil weight option. We use a different assembly but the steps are virtually the same.

I've also tagged a few tutorials and guides detailing how to complete the repairs. The steps are similar for assemblies with one or two coils.  Take a look at them to see if they might help you with the repair.
