Windows in a rental house

Landlord from Port Orange, FL
My boss purchased a rental house with these windows already installed. Unfortunately, they will not stay in the tracks, and the lower window pane has actually blown out of the track and onto the floor if not locked in place.

She needs hardware for 7 sets of windows, all identical.

Could you please help? Thanks!

Hello there!

Are you only looking for the tilt latch? If so, we would need you to remove the actuator and an undamaged internal latch to compare to our inventory.

Thank you!

I apologize, but I don't know the names of window parts. What is an actuator? What and where would an internal latch be?

Thanks.

No need to apologize! The actuator is the part in your fourth picture next to your finger. This should just pop on and off, so you should be able to remove it by hand. If it's really on there you could try prying it off with a screwdriver.

Once that's off, you will need to remove the top cap of the sash; this should be a long, thin vinyl cover that runs the entire length of the sash. That will expose the internal latch body and allow you to remove it.
