Windows no longer close with handle

Quick Learner from Madison, WI
Hello - it seems I have a common problem.  My crank handles open the window just fine.  However, when I go to close the crank just comes loose and will not close them.  The internet tells me I need to replace the full mechanism and that you may be able to help me.

Hello there, yes, when the handle can no longer interface it means the entire mechanism has broken down and should be replaced. We likely can help, but we need to see the entire operator, including the arm(s) that move the window. A bird's eye view, either with the operator removed or with the window open, would suffice. We'll do our best to help from there.

Perfect, thanks. it looks like you have the 39-032 Dual-Arm operator (the opposite-handed version is the 39-031). Just ensure the dimensions match what we show below. For handles and covers, see the 39-114L and 39-107 sold separately.
