Wooden Track for Dresser Drawer

Hi! My dresser drawers are not gliding smoothly on their wooden tracks. Is this lubricant stick intended for use on wood? Or is there a different product I should use instead? I have heard of rubbing the wooden track with wax paper, but I am looking for something easier to use.

Believe it or not, you could try rubbing your wood track with an old candle. I have done that myself with surprising results.
