Usually an order of 100' feet and longer of wool pile is sold as a continuous length on one spool.

How is the pile held in the channel on double pane windows? Do I need adhesive?

If the wool pile is the correct fit for the channel in the window, it should stay secure without any use of an adhesive. Sometimes people do use a little glue to keep the wool pile in place if necessary, the downside to this is removing the wool pile later will be difficult.

I am replacing the pile in my aluminum triple track storm windows using your 3/16th by 5/32nds or 3/16by 3/16th weatherstripping. Is there a special tool or technique for insertion. If so are instructions available? Since it doesn't appear possible to just slide it in, I have been inserting one edge first and then popping the other edge in with the tip of a knife.

Without taking the window insert apart you will not be able to slide in the wool pile. The only technique really is how you are doing it already... inserting one edge and popping the other edge in with the back side of a knife.

Swisco's wool pile, in this case 58-127, is sold in 25' lengths. So 250' would be a quantity of ten (10).
