Wool pile and cold air leaks

Quick Learner from usa
Hello,
Our house has very nice double pane windows, but I can feel cold air coming in from the edges. I am not sure if the weatherstripping needs to be replaced, or if its is just a cheap design. How can you tell if weatherstripping is warn or in need of replacement? I have included pictures of the pile weatherstripping.

If the air is leaking into your home, then the weatherstripping should be the first thing to look at. There's not really any way to know for sure if it's the weatherstripping or the window that's the problem, so you just have to experiment with it to see what works.

As for what kind of weatherstripping it is you need, it would depend on your size. I can say that you have a wool pile type. You can see our entire selection here.
