Would Like to Refurbish 1992ish GA Windows - Do they have a Thermal Brake?

Quick Learner from Larkspur, CO
You have the parts I need to freshen these windows (and add a window film). The only chance I have of meeting local requirements for U factor on our addition is if these older aluminum windows have a thermal brake/barrier between the outside and inside aluminum frames.

I found a listing for GA window designs according to model numbers, but I don't know how to identify the window series I have from General Aluminum - on a house manufactured by Guerdon - Magnolia Homes modular homes in late 1992 / 1993 in Nebraska.

Was hoping not to have to cut one open to see. Modern GA and Mi windows that bought them have no clue from this time period.

Any help appreciated! Say Hi to Jersey for me - was born and raised in Ashland near Lawnside.

I'm not sure if your General Aluminum windows were made with a thermal break back in the early 1990's. To see if it was, open the bottom sash and look at the sill for a thermal break. It will be a black plastic strip built in the sill separating the inside from outside aluminum sill. You should be able to follow it all away around the window frame.
