Zegler Dura Seal Window

Question

Hi, the spring mechanism in one of my double hung windows is not working properly. I suspect a spring is broken or is no longer attached. Before taking anything apart I am curious if you have seen this type of sash and have any recommendations on its repair. The pictures I uploaded have marking indicating a Zegler Dura Seal and 38 - 2L. The home was built in 1964.
