adding a handle where it's missing

Question

I have an old Cole Sewell door without a handle. 1-3/4" between the screws with a hold right in the middle for a spindle.
There is no existing handle for me to send a picture of.
I don't want to bother with new holes so I don't need a deadbolt. What do you suggest?

Since Cole Sewell is no longer in business anymore, unfortunately, it's not possible to get an exact match for the original handle set. Without seeing the original, we also won't be able to make a confident recommendation for a replacement handle set. An educated guess would be that you might be able to use something like the 40-058, but we can't make any guarantees and modifications may be necessary.
