alpine window balance replacement

I'm looking for some parts for some old Alpine window (probably installed in the 90's). Just the metal part of the bar is 27inches long and about 1/2 inch wide (on the side facing the window). attached are photos of the part, and
I found a tag (in smaller window as there are none left in the window under discussion) that says "Series: 580 Mfg: Alpine Industries"
the whole window frame itself is about 47inches wide and 59inches high (not sure which measurements are actually relevant, so I just measured the whole thing.)
thanks,
d..

Hi, D.
Based on what I see here, I recommend our S380-27 or S385-27 channel balance. These two parts may look the same upon first glance but each one has a different sized shoe. The Series 380 has a 1" deep shoe, while the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" deep shoe. You'll need to measure as shown below to determine the best match. There should also be a stamp on the metal channel that will indicate what strength option you'll need.

q1: my old eyes are measuing that at something a little over 1" but less than 1 3/32 (more like 1 1/32+) is this a HUGE issue, or should I just assume a. I'm old and b. the shoe might had a little wear, and just the the 1 3/32?
q2: I don't see any kind of stamped data on the channel, and I'm look'n pretty closely. any guidance here?
thanks again!

Hello! Emily isn't here today but I will do my best to help.
Starting with your first question, it's very likely that your shoe was once 1-3/32" deep but wore down a little over time, just as you suspect. These shoes are just nylon so frequent use will shave it down a little from friction alone. This is very common and I think that the 1-3/32" size is a safe bet.
Regarding your second question, if your stamp is 26-4 then I would recommend our 2640 option. This is our equivalent to that old stamp.
