I think it's going to need a recessed mount in the back. If the mount is on the flat edge of the inside of the sill I think the crank arms will be too high and interfere with the closing of the window. TRUTH HARDWARE 22.29.32.212.

Hmm...We would be interested in seeing the hardware you are currently using. May we see some photos of your crank?
