anderson sash balance

I need sash balance for 1983 double hung thermopane windows. the white letters and numbers in the corner read as follows. C4-84 CBA324, C6-84-S CBA324, C6846-S IGCC CBA 324, C84 IGCC CBA324. please advise which ones I need for each different window. Dennis Ohara

Hey Dennis. I'm afraid I can't associate those codes with anything in our database. If this is an Andersen window, we need the stamps on the metal balance box itself. It's best to remove the sash balance from the window to obtain photos of all the stamps--often how the stamps are posted are big a clue as to what the numbers themselves state. Hi Bob, I have 2 different sash balances I will need 2 BP5 12R and 16 L50- 10#31 if those numbers make sense to you. Thanks, Dennis

That's a huge help, thanks! For the window that has the 12R balance, you can use our 24-13R, as well as our 24-13L for the opposite side (they'll be different).

For the 10#31, you can use our 24-1033 balance, instead. This is usable on both the left and right side interchangeably.
