Have new 82-037. Installed. potential issue, button sticks when pushed in. Lock seems to work fine, but instructions say it should pop out when door is open. Why does it need to pop out? Di I need a new one? Defective?

It may be that the latch is tightened too much, causing the button to stick. Try to reinstall it, and also try some lubricant. That may help.
