Small plastic loop to unlatch door from outside broke off.
By the way, the door was installed in 1996.

Hello! Looks like you need a new 83-115 latch. I believe this is the part you're looking for, but look it over and see what you think!

Thank you. The curved part at the left end of that picture looks like the piece that broke off. Is replacing the old latch with the part in your picture a difficult procedure?

It can be tricky by nature of how Pella designed this door, but fortunately we have a tutorial video that shows you exactly how it can be done.
