Question

I have 17 broken balances that are stamped 28d bs1, which are28" long in double hung tilt windows series 325, need help sourcing replacement balances.

We'd be happy to help but, unfortunately, the stamp code does not identify the correct replacement balance since it only indicates the spring strength needed to support the weight of the window sash. We should be able to supply the balances that you need but we would need to see yours removed from the window, including both ends and the clip at the end of the pulley cord. Thank you!
