balance question

Hello -
I am looking to order some spiral balances for tilt sash windows. The original ones seem to measure about 30.25" to 30.4" (measuring the plastic tube that jackets the wound metal interior spiral). would it be better to order 30" or 31" length. thanks for your assistance.

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. In these cases, we'd recommend you round to 30". However, keep in mind that you will likely need to install the balance lower in the track to make up the difference. I hope this helps!
