Adjusting spiral balance without a balance tool

Thanks for reaching out to us. My suggestion would be to use two sets of pliers. Preferably a set of long-nosed type pliers. You will need to turn the spiral with the one set and hold it with the other set of pliers until you get the correct tension you need.

That said, we always recommend using the proper tools for any given project. While pliers can help you in a pinch, the easiest way to get this project done is using the 75-006 charging tool.
