double hung window balancer

Question

Double hung windows will not stay up. I found the parts inside the window need help finding replacement parts.

Thanks for reaching out to us. You have a bit of a strange balance assembly here. The pivot shoe in your second photo is one only used for spiral balances, not coil balances. I wonder if someone repaired this window at some point in the past and used the wrong parts.

Either way, we should be able to help. I'll need you to remove the assembly from the window in its entirety so that I can see them without obstruction. Please also measure the depth of both the spring and shoe. I'm guessing 1/2" for each but I'd rather not trust a guess if I can help it. You'll also need the number printed on the spring, while it's out.
